Very well put, I whole-heatedly agree. I’d take a heated back over toasting my buns any day.

As for cars, just take my word for it. I’m also impressed that your car is still doin’ the job after 11 years…that’s an accomplishment in this day in age. Manual windows will become a sought-after collectors item, just you wait!

Totally with you on #3. It's a case of playing favorites to your ass as opposed to your back. And, in all honesty, my back does a lot more in terms of support and heavy lifting than my ass ever will. So I should be treating my back to the perks like heat. My ass generates enough heat of its own that it shouldn't need a seat that can do it for it. Just my two Lincolns. As for it being an option on nearly every car as you imply... I can't relate. I haven't bought a car in 11 years. I have no idea what's available. While I admit that the aforementioned are in fact luxuries, and that the title could certainly be interpreted more literally I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that you live in a warm climate.

Also, for the record, Sire’s temperature conversion (above) is the correct one, I misread his post and was converting 30C instead of 36…

When I first started reading, I thought you were going to talk about heated toilet seats!

Fundamentally, however, “luxuries” like heated anything that doesn’t really need to be heated are wasteful of energy, resources, and contribute to the emission of greenhouse gases…heated toilet seats, would of course be excluded from any draconian measures put in place by government to ban such luxuries…

I just went online to do a conversion, as I felt yours was a bot low, and it's actually 96.8F. As long as I am moving or working, I don't really feel the cold.
